Create and use an object storage container

In the OVHcloud Control Panel, open Public Cloud, select your project, and choose Object Storage. Create a container and select its storage class, region, and access settings. The exact options depend on the Object Storage offer attached to your project. The OVHcloud Control Panel guide covers creating containers, configuring settings, uploading and downloading objects, and deleting objects or containers for S3-compatible Object Storage. The same operations are also available through S3-compatible clients. Deleting a container can delete its contents; check object versioning and Object Lock first.

Change settings and manage objects

Use the OVHcloud Control Panel to review and change the settings exposed for the container. Some properties are fixed when a container is created. The Control Panel and S3-compatible clients support object upload, download, replacement, and deletion, subject to the permissions and features of the selected offer. The available settings and operations can differ between OVHcloud Object Storage offers. Confirm the selected project, region, endpoint, and target before making changes. See OVHcloud’s Object Storage management guide, bucket management example, and Object Storage documentation.

Use it with Merops

Connect this provider with the Merops connection guide. Merops currently supports object storage operations across its connected providers. The provider console remains the place to configure provider-specific settings and to carry out management actions that Merops does not expose. Before deleting a container or object, verify the account, region, and target. Some deletions are permanent or remove all contained data.
